We are writing to let you know about changes to Energy & Utility Skills Group membership fees, and changes to other Energy & Utility Skills pricing, from 1 April 2026.
As a membership and not‑for‑profit organisation, we have consistently prioritised value for money, while expanding our services, influence, and support for the sector.
You will only be too aware of the increased costs of doing business through the increases in minimum wage, employer national insurance contributions, energy costs and general inflation – we’re no different.
Having retained our membership prices for the last eight years, and the prices for our other services for a number of years, especially EUSR registration prices which have not increased since April 2024; we now need to update our prices to reflect the increased costs of doing business. We have also been able to keep a number of our prices at current levels, these are also outlined below.
Where we have had to increase our prices:
- From 1 April 2026, your membership fee will increase by 5% and will include 200 annual job postings on Energy & Utilities Careers and Jobs free of charge, worth £2,000, and providing all members with direct access to the sector wide talent pool.
Over the eight year period in which membership prices have been held, cumulative UK inflation has been well in excess of 30%, meaning this 5% increase represents a modest and proportionate adjustment rather than a real terms rise.
This price increase will support us to deliver the sector’s Skills Strategy to 2030, ensuring we continue to build a safe, skilled and sustainable workforce; enhance recruitment and retention across the sector; and strengthen the long‑term talent pipeline.
- EUSR registration list prices will increase to £34.00.
Where we have been able to hold our pricing at current levels:
- There will be no increase to EUSR prices for plastic smartcards, e-learning courses, and trainer and provider approvals and audits.
- No increase will be applied to Apprenticeship end-point assessment prices.
- There will be no increase to our Qualification learner and centre approval prices.
You will shortly receive your individual membership renewal information.
This update ensures we can continue to invest with confidence in the capability, assurance, and systems the sector relies on. It provides stability as we move through 2026, enabling us to focus fully on safe delivery, competence, workforce growth, and the long term resilience of the energy and utilities workforce across the UK.
