With the UK’s energy, water and waste industries needing 312,300 new entrants by 2030, strengthening access to the right skills has never been more important. Rullion joins Energy & Utility Skills as a new Member Organisation at a pivotal moment for the UK’s transition, bringing more than four decades of workforce solutions expertise to support the ambitions set out in the Skills Strategy 2025–2030.
Supporting organisations across energy, utilities and wider critical infrastructure sectors – including EDF, SSE, E.ON and United Utilities – Rullion plays a key role in delivering large-scale infrastructure programmes through its expertise in contingent and extended workforce solutions. With deep sector knowledge and established talent networks, Rullion brings valuable insight into how organisations can better access, deploy and manage skills across both permanent and non-permanent workforces, including those parts of the workforce that are often less visible in traditional workforce planning.
James Saoulli, CEO at Rullion, said:
“We’re proud to join Energy & Utility Skills and to be part of a community focused on addressing one of the sector’s biggest challenges — building a skilled, resilient workforce for the future. As investment accelerates across the energy, water and waste sectors, we believe there is a real opportunity to take a more integrated approach to workforce planning, bringing together both permanent and extended workforce models. We look forward to working with Energy & Utility Skills and its members to support the delivery of the UK’s net zero ambitions.”
Stephen Barrett, Director of Membership and Strategic Engagement at Energy & Utility Skills Group, added:
“I’m delighted to welcome Rullion as our latest Member Organisation. As the sector responds to rising investment demands and future skills challenges, their expertise will help broaden access to opportunities and strengthen the UK’s talent pipeline. This aligns strongly with the Skills Strategy 2025–2030 and supports the resilience, diversity and long‑term capability of the energy and utilities workforce.”
Rullion now joins a growing community of employers, partners and stakeholders committed to strengthening the UK’s workforce for the decades ahead.
