Louise Parry appointed to Board of the Women’s Utilities Network

Louise Parry, Director of People and Organisational Development for Energy & Utility Skills, is now a board member of the Women’s Utilities Network.

In her role at Energy & Utility Skills, Louise has been a driving force behind initiatives such as the Energy & Utilities Inclusion Commitment, which seeks to attract, recruit, and develop a diverse workforce which is reflective of the communities the sector serves.

Established in 2018, the Women’s Utilities Network (WUN) is a group which advocates for the greater representation of women within the utilities sector, particularly in senior roles. Currently, they have a community of over 2,300 members and followers.

The WUN Board also includes Angie Needle, Director of Strategy at Cadent Gas; Jo Butlin, CEO at EnergyBridge; Hayley Monks, Managing Director of the Utilities Sector at Gobeyond Partners; and Rebecca Sedler, Commercial Director at National Grid Ventures.

Louise Parry said: “Having had the pleasure to work with WUN as an inclusion partner for the last three years, I have been able to see the exciting growth and development of the network.

“I’m really looking forward to joining WUN and further developing the opportunities to support women in achieving their personal and professional ambitions across the utilities industry.”

Energy & Utility Skills are continuing to support our sector’s goals for diversity and inclusion – read about our newest set of D&I profiles here.
