Delivery Board

Bringing together senior leaders from across the sector and turn the Energy & Utility Skills Group Skills Strategy into action

The Energy & Utility Skills Partnership (EUSP) Delivery Board

The Energy & Utility Skills Partnership (EUSP) Delivery Board brings together senior leaders from across the sector who are empowered to make financial and operational decisions on behalf of their organisations. Members typically include Operations Directors, HR Directors, and senior executives, representing both major companies and the supply chain.

The Delivery Board’s purpose is to take the critical cross-sector priorities set by the CEO Council and turn the Energy & Utility Skills Group Skills Strategy into action. It identifies the key projects that will take place over the next one to two years and is accountable for their delivery on time and within budget. Progress is reported back to the CEO Council by the Chair of the Delivery Board, ensuring clear alignment between strategic ambition and operational delivery.

The Delivery Board is responsible for:

  • Delivering tangible results against the Council’s cross-sector priorities, with clear milestones and deliverables.
  • Developing and agreeing an annual delivery plan for industry.
  • Deploying resources, networks, and expertise to achieve targeted outcomes.
  • Engaging with regulators and government departments across the four nations.
  • Escalating barriers or opportunities to the CEO Council when required.
  • Through sponsorship of EUSP network groups (structure shown below), the Board also ensures maximum collaboration, minimum duplication, and effective communication across the industry.

Membership and Governance

Members of the Delivery Board are nominated by their organisation’s CEO, Managing Director, or EUSP Council representative. The Board meets at least four times a year, with meetings held at member organisations, the Energy & Utility Skills Group office, and online. A Chair, elected by members, serves a three-year term with the option of extension. Energy & Utility Skills provides secretariat support to ensure the Board remains focused on delivery.
Through the Delivery Board, the sector works collectively to deliver on shared priorities, overcome challenges, and drive meaningful progress for the workforce and the UK economy. To be considered for Delivery Board membership senior colleagues from across the EUSP should email collaborate@euskills.co.uk and include their CEO, MD or EUSP Council representative nomination.
