Energy & Utility Skills is pleased to confirm Mumtaz Patel, Head of Operational Transition Investment and Future Energy at Cadent, has been appointed Chair of the National Skills Academy for Gas’ Hydrogen Skills Network.
Mumtaz brings extensive experience from her role in shaping Cadent’s transition to a hydrogen future. This includes Network Assets and Safety, People, Processes, and Systems, along with the development and delivery of a portfolio of technology and R&D trials to support hydrogen innovation.
Over the next three years (2024–27), the network will address strategic skills challenges in the evolving hydrogen industry, with a focus on collaborative action. Its mission is to support the development of a safe, skilled, and sustainable workforce, and align with hydrogen industry priorities set by the National Skills Academy for Gas.
