Group Competence Scheme – Alternative Gas Safe Registration Route

The award winning Group Competence Scheme (GCS) is an alternative route for Gas Safe engineers to renew their five year registration.
Developed in collaboration with gas companies, GCS has been designed to enable businesses of all sizes to use their existing systems and processes to confirm the competence of their Gas Safe registered staff.
GCS is an alternative option to the Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) that offers a robust route for maintaining your employee’s standards. It collects real evidence from the workplace, which informs your engineer’s continual assessment with detailed insight and replaces the reliance of a single snapshot at an assessment centre when renewing an engineer’s five year Gas Safe registration.
Businesses of all sizes can benefit from the Group Competence Scheme, for example Energy & Utilty Skills are working with companies choosing to adopt the scheme who employ 13 engineers.
