Water Process Technicians perform reactive and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations, supporting other disciplines as necessary. The main roles within this occupation involve working on water supply and treatment; water networks and leakage, sewerage and wastewater.

Gateway Requirements
- The employer must be content that the apprentice is working at or above the occupational standard.
- Achieved Level 2 English and maths qualifications in line with the apprenticeship funding rules.
The Assessment
- Portfolio Assessment (weighting 70%) which incorporates
- A work log
- Trade tests set by EUIAS
- Multiple-choice test (90 minutes, 50 questions, weighting 30%)

- Fail, Pass, Distinction
