This will be presented to the Secretary of State for Education for final sign off, following which there will be two months’ notice given before the new funding band becomes effective.
The standard was one of thirty-one standards selected to be part of the wider IfA review of funding bands and results from the high volume of apprentices since the standard was approved in August 2015. The review sought the input of employers and training providers representative of the sector, who understand the actual costs incurred in the delivery and assessment of this standard.
This new band will impact apprentice starts on or after the implementation date, but will not impact those already on the programme.
