Hydrogen Skills Network Group Launch/Gas Network Skills Forum
Energy & Utility Skills proudly introduces the Hydrogen Skills Network Group (HSNG) and the Gas Networks Skills Forum (GNSF) within the National Skills Academy for Gas. Over the next three years (2024-27), HSNG and GNSF will collectively address strategic skills issues in the evolving Hydrogen industry, emphasizing collaborative actions. They aim to support the industry-wide delivery of a long-term, sustainable skilled workforce and set the gas industry priorities within the framework set by the Energy & Utilities Skills Partnership.
Both groups will closely collaborate with the National Skills Academy for Gas Strategy Group to address strategic concerns, ratify and sponsor direction and goals, and ensure engagement with external stakeholders as needed. Meetings will be held quarterly via MS Teams or at agreed-upon locations, including client sites, and facilitated by Energy & Utility Skills.

Smart Devices and interfacing Technologies Group Rename
The Smart Devices and Interfacing Technologies Group have collectively approved a modification to the group’s name and terms of reference, transitioning from the Net Zero Technology Skills Group. This decision was taken to recognise the narrower scope of skills and technologies that the group now encompasses, extending beyond its initial emphasis on the smart meter rollout.
This evolution in both name and terms of reference underscores the group’s commitment to staying abreast of advancements in smart devices and interfacing technologies, aligning its objectives with the evolving technologies.
Meetings will continue to be held quarterly via MS Teams or at agreed-upon locations, including client sites, and facilitated by Energy & Utility Skills.
