Earlier this year we hosted two MOET Roadshows in Manchester and Birmingham where 96.3% of delegates found the sessions extremely useful. Following the success of these events, we are excited to announce additional events in November in Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham and Central London.
The Roadshows will provide the latest updates on the new Engineering Maintenance Technician (EMT) apprenticeship standards, which will be replacing MOET as it ends in 2025.
Stay up to date on the latest developments, understand the major implications of the new standards and start planning for the impact on your delivery and customers.
At the end of the session delegates will be able to:
- Identify appropriate actions for existing MOET apprentices to meet the requirements of End Point Assessment plan 1.4.
- Describe the key features of the proposed Engineering Maintenance Technician apprenticeship standards.
- Summarise the key features of the proposed End Point Assessment Plan for Engineering Maintenance Technician.
- Explain the key differences between the current MOET apprenticeship standard and the proposed Engineering Maintenance Technician Standards.
- Explain the key differences between the current MOET apprenticeship standard End Point Assessment plan and the proposed Engineering Maintenance Technician Standards End Point Assessment plan.
- Identify further information required to make informed decisions on the roll out of the Engineering Maintenance Technician standards.
- Explain the process of approval of the Engineering Maintenance Technician standards, associated End Point Assessment Plan and funding band.
- Identify apprenticeship progression routes for Engineering Maintenance Technicians.
The learning outcomes will be delivered through a blended approach of presentation, questions and table discussions.
The recent MOET roadshow delivered by Energy & Utility Skills in Manchester has enabled us, as a provider, to plan our delivery of the new Engineering Maintenance Technician apprenticeship standards. The event was well organised, well delivered and provided clarity whilst enabling debate and discussion. It was an example of a Standard Setting Body taking responsibility for actively engaging with and keeping informed their stakeholders and customers.
